We release results through CIE Direct and then send you a hard copy provisional results despatch. Results day can be very busy so it helps if you prepare:
Make sure your candidates know:
We offer a service that allows candidates to access their results online. You can control which of your candidates get access to this site via CIE Direct. To find out more watch our video or download the guidance notes listed on this page under 'Extra Guidance’.
VIDEO: Our video explains how your candidates can access their results directly.
Administering the Candidate Results Service transcript
We offer a number of enquiries about results services. Click here for more information.
We send you your certificates up to eight weeks after provisional results are released. This is to allow time for us to resolve any enquiries about results. The certificates confirm candidates' results as final.
Candidates can apply to Cambridge if they would like their results to be verified or for a certifying statement (an official document from us to show the grades they achieved in a particular exam series). You can download the forms for these services from the right-hand side of the page. If you are paying by credit or debit card, you can apply for certifying statements online instead of using 'Results and certificates - Form 7.'
If a candidate needs their provisional results to be sent straight to a particular institution, they can complete and send us 'Results and certificates - form 9' available on the right hand side of this page. We will send the provisional statement of results to their chosen educational institution on the day that results are released.
Results are produced using the name given for the candidate at the time of their exam.
You need to be aware of the grading system for group awards so you can answer queries from your candidates when they see their statements of results. See the relevant sections of the Cambridge Guide to Making Entries for more information on Cambridge International Certificate of Education (ICE) and Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE). This guide is available to download from the 'Support Materials' section of CIE Direct.
Candidates can apply for the Cambridge Pre-U Diploma by substituting up to two accredited Level 3 syllabuses from other exam boards, for Cambridge Pre-U Principal Subjects. Download and complete the Cambridge Pre-U Diploma Application form.
Cambridge Pre-U Diploma Application form
The application must be submitted by the Centre where the candidate sat the Cambridge Pre-U Global Perspectives and Research (GPR) and Principal Subjects exams. We will accept applications after the outcome of any result enquiries for up to 13 months.
