Cambridge schools gathered at the Residence of the British Ambassador in Bogota on 17 November to celebrate Cambridge International Examinations’ tenth year in Colombia working in collaboration with the British Council.
Principals and coordinators from Cambridge schools attended the event, as well as top university leaders including the Academic Vice-President of Javeriana University, Luis David Prieto. 'Universities are pleased to accept students from Cambridge schools. Cambridge students are equipped with all the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their courses and become creative leaders,' said Mr Prieto.
Jeff Glekin, Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy in Colombia, Tom Miscioscia, British Council Director Colombia and Richard Gilby, Regional Director of Cambridge International Examinations, Latin America, (pictured above) were also present during the event. They all agreed that this type of partnership between UK organisations and Colombian stakeholders is fundamental to developing more education opportunities for young people.
